Goods of Record

It could be the leather band of a watch or the wooden frame of a chair. A canvas bag tucked in our closet or antique brass proudly on display. It’s well-crafted. Perfectly designed. And just straight-up beautiful. But before it became your prized possession, it was someone else’s singular passion.
That is the thesis of this project. To find those people, share their stories, and bring you their goods.
Partnering with lifelong friends Michael Kushner and Trey Sisson, as well as eventual Wharton Business school buddy, Sathish Naadimuthu, we traveled America to find the people who make the best men’s products around. The makers who forge the steel and fell the trees. Stitch with their hands and craft from their hearts. The ones who make the things we love. And we’re sharing their stories. We’re bringing you their goods. And we’re discovering exactly what makes whatever they make so special.

For this project I worked as the "content creator". I directed, edited, and shot all of the stories on each maker as well as snapping the product shots for this brand new company that launched in August of 2014. Below are each maker's story as well as product shots, and parts of how the website is laid out. To enjoy the stories as well as do a little shopping for yourself, visit www.goodsofrecord.com for more information.
